Housing and Homelessness

In New York City we have reached a crisis point for the middle class. Never before have working and middle class New Yorkers been so disenfranchised from access to homes they can afford to buy or rent.

The number of New Yorkers lacking permanent housing is at an all-time high; the highest it has been since New York City began counting homelessness. How can this be and why is this tragedy not front and center in our city’s conversations? We must establish permanent solutions to care for vulnerable families. We must ensure that working families do not lose their homes. And we must address this now.
